Quick and Painless Wisdom Teeth Removal in Gosnells

ArtboardIf you are currently suffering from jaw pain or discomfort, bleeding gums around your back teeth, bad breath or recurring sore throats, your wisdom teeth are most likely the root of the problem. Wisdom teeth usually begin developing in the teenage years and may continue into a person’s late 20s. This third set of molars may never cause any problems or could require removal due to complications.

Often they can cause pain and discomfort if they are unable to erupt. Crowding of the other teeth may occur as well.

Thankfully the removal of wisdom teeth is a fairly common dental procedure and Tandara Dental Centre is here to make it a quick and painless one.

We Provide a Comfortable and Painless In-chair Experience

wisdom tooth chair 3We understand that for some, going to the dentist can be an uncomfortable and nerve-racking experience and that a wisdom teeth extraction can sound a little daunting but ignoring the signs can lead to several issues including overcrowding, tooth decay, infections and cysts. This is why we recommend seeking medical attention immediately.

At Tandara Dental, all wisdom teeth extractions are performed by our experienced wisdom tooth removal surgeon using the latest in dental techniques and technology to ensure you have a comfortable, safe and painless experience.

If going to sleep is your top priority while having your wisdom teeth extracted, we can help with bringing in our local anesthetist for a deeper sedation — after all, our name does mean ‘rest here’.

What are wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that usually ‘erupt’ between the ages of 18 to 25, but this isn’t always the case. For some, having your wisdom teeth removed may never happen, but for most, wisdom teeth can cause complications as they begin to emerge from the four back corners of your mouth.

What are impacted wisdom teeth?

A wisdom tooth is considered impacted if there isn’t sufficient room after the second molar for the tooth to emerge or develop normally.

Do my wisdom teeth need to be removed?

Having your wisdom teeth removed is a common dental procedure, but not everyone’s the same, only a dentist will be able to provide you an answer. However, if you’re currently experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, we recommend booking an appointment with us right away to discuss an affordable dental solution.

When should I get my wisdom teeth removed?

If you are you currently experiencing any of the following wisdom teeth symptoms:

  • Tooth decay that is not restorable
  • Jaw pain and discomfort
  • Gum disease – swelling of the gums around the tooth
  • Bleeding or tenderness around the tooth
  • Bad breath
  • Foul taste in mouth when eating
  • Cysts forming around the tooth, appear as pockets of liquid

What problems can arise if I ignore the issue?

If not appropriately grown, wisdom teeth can cause additional dental problems including:

  • Constant pain and discomfort
  • Infections and cysts — bad breath, bleeding gums
  • Inflammation — swelling of gums, tenderness
  • Impaction — the molar continues to grow sideways, applying pressure against other teeth and damages to surrounding teeth
  • Overcrowding — causing teeth misalignment and an imperfect smile
  • Increased pressure — results in numbness in your jaw and face
  • Cavities
  • Sinus Issue

What should I take to alleviate the pain following the procedure?

We recommend icing 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off. Pain medication may be prescribed, or we may suggest taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.

At Tandara Dental Centre Gosnells we are more than just your regular hi-bye check up and clean dentist. We take pride in getting to know you so that you feel comfortable with every visit.
